Today I would like to tell you about
sage, an herb that helps you to become a
Solar Body. That’s why I like to call it a
Solar Herb.
I’ve long been interested in herbs used for natural healing, so I’m in the habit of tasting plants that are said to be good for the body. Of these, sage is truly unique. Its powerful taste and aroma really wake up the brain. When your brain feels heavy and constricted and your concentration drops, when you feel depressed and long to feel refreshed, slowly chew a sage leaf.
I found that sage has countless beneficial properties. Its botanical name is Salvia, meaning “healthy” or “safe, whole.” Sage has been used both as a food and an
herbal therapy since ancient times for a wide variety of illnesses including:
- inflammation of the mouth, throat, and nasal passages
- colds
- fever
- headaches
- coughs
- asthma
- digestive symptoms
- menstrual pain
- memory loss
- Alzheimer’s disease
- difficulty concentrating
I confidently recommend sage as one of the best herbs for transforming body and mind, and developing a
Solar Body. It is excellent not only for
recovering natural healing power, but also for developing willpower and concentration and for reviving a bright spirit.
I think the best way to experience its powerful effects is to consume it directly by chewing raw leaves. About one leaf a day is an appropriate amount to use for the sage training method described below.
- Place a fresh sage leaf in your mouth, then very slowly and gently chew it with your front teeth at the tip of your tongue. A bitter taste will begin to spread in your mouth. Chew with your front teeth for about three minutes, then slowly chew with your back teeth. When saliva fills your mouth, swallow it. You can continue this for about 10 minutes, or up to one hour.
- Try to feel the changes in your body as you slowly chew the sage. As your nose, eyes, and ears open up, your breathing will become fresher and deeper, and your lower abdomen—your whole body—will grow warmer.
- Feel the changes in your mind, too. You’ll sense your brain being refreshed, your heart growing brighter and calmer. Visualize your energy gradually growing brighter, shining like the sun, as you offer yourself positive, hopeful affirmations that will give you strength.
