A method as old as time, crystals are highly regarded for their metaphysical healing properties. Each mineral vibrates at a different frequency, affecting the energetic and physical body in different ways.
Crystals can strengthen your mind-body connection and your connection to the source energy of the earth and the universe. They are becoming more and more popular in mainstream consciousness, and for good reason. This is good news for anyone and everyone looking to heal holistically and naturally.
These crystals come in all forms and sizes, and can be utilized in many ways. This article will delve into how to use wand-shaped crystals that coordinate with chakras in your body, but first you need to choose the right crystal for you.
How to Choose the Right Crystal for My Needs?
Trust your intuition. Everything is made of energy and that energy vibrates at different frequencies, including your body! If you can open your heart and ask it what your body needs, you may feel called to one crystal over another. The color is also very important, as well as the specific healing properties of the mineral. Allow yourself to be pulled by the energy of the crystal and go with your gut.
You can choose crystals based on your birthstone that can resonate with you if you aren’t particularly drawn to one. For reference the birthstones are:

Crystals for Aura and Chakra Healing
Each person has an aura, or a non-physical field of energy, around them. Auras are affected by mood, emotions, memories, and interpersonal relationships. Crystals can be used to boost or cleanse the chakra powers in your body that affect your aura.
The first step is to figure out the chakras that need more healing and are weakest
in your body. Each chakra focuses on an aspect of your emotions so read the list below to see if any of the chakras resonate with what you need healing for in yourself. Based on these symptoms, you can choose a crystal that coincides with the chakra.

Low physical energy, no motivation, no desires
Choose a Bloodstone, Tiger’s Eye, Hematite, Fire Agate, or Black Tourmaline crystal
Sacral Chakra (2nd Chakra):
Low vitality, lack of energy, fatigue, want to strengthen stability and groundedness
Choose a Citrine, Carnelian, Moonstone, or Coral crystal

Choose a Malachite, Calcite, Citrine, or Topaz crystal

Crystals For Physical Healing
When using a crystal wand, it is important to maintain steady and deep breathing. If you feel any excess tension, breathe into the space where you are experiencing pain and envision that pain melting away with the pressure of the wand.
Using the meridian lines and acupressure points that run throughout the body, you can focus on a specific area of the body, organ or system. Maintain an open mind as you use your wand so that you can fully absorb the healing power of this method.
To release tension in your head and clear your thoughts, you can gently rub the end of the crystal along your temples or the base of the skull. Remember to breathe in and out deeply and imagine your head becoming clear.

If you ever have an upset stomach or experience indigestion you can gently use the crystal and push against the solar plexus. The solar plexus is located under the point where your rib cage meets and above your belly button. Stimulating the solar plexus will relieve any stomach issues because when stimulated, it works to keep the organs functioning smoothly through a complex network of nerves.
You can also gently rub the crystals on acupoints all over your body. Acupoints are energy points where pressure can open up blocked energy channels. The Hapgok, Gokji, and JokSamNi points are especially great for indigestion because they are connected with the stomach and intestine meridians. See below for reference.

Lower Back Tension/Pain:
The sacrum is a triangular bone in the lower back which fuses the pelvis and hip bones. Pain in this area is usually sharp and aching and can be due to bad posture or joint strain. A great way to release tension in the lower back is through a sacral massage with crystals by gently rubbing the area above the hip bones in a circular motion.
Stress and anxiety can cause tension in the chest, which can make it feel like your airways are blocked. You can simply rub a crystal under your collarbones to relieve tension.
Hand Reflexology (for all organs):
There are organs and systems of the body that coordinate with acupoints in our hands. By massaging and applying pressure to the hands with a crystal, not only is it quick and relaxing, but it can be an effective way to relieve stress and tension all throughout the body.
With a Partner:
What’s the fun in using a crystal wand all by yourself? You can help heal others in areas where they might feel tension in their body that may be hard to reach or might need some extra pressure. Grab a friend and relieve their back, neck, and other pain in their body.
