Refresh with 5 Minute Water Energy Meditation
Last week, in the article “Awareness and the Fire Within” we discussed how meditation can positively affect our physical and mental condition where Fire Energy is concerned.

Let’s continue to explore this concept as we learn how to easily create the desirable state of “Water Up, Fire Down” energy circulation in our body through a simple relaxation meditation technique that will awaken our body’s innate healing power.

When the body is in a healthy state of “Water Up, Fire Down,” our head feels cool and refreshed, our thinking is clear and there is a dynamic sense of liveliness about our energy.

Meditation expert, Ilchi Lee recommends a simple posture that restores this healthy state. He observes, “Energy is like water; there’s a way that it naturally flows. When you hold this position, energy automatically permeates to where it needs to be, opening your energy blockages and healing your body.” Experience the profound effect of “Water Up, Fire Down” for yourself. Try this easy posture for up to five minutes of breathing and relaxation.

5 Minute Water Energy Meditation

While standing, gently shake out your arms and legs as you relax tension in your body. Lie on your back. Ilchi recommends visualizing the LifeParticle Sun image as you begin to help focus and draw in free flowing energy.

Raise your arms comfortably over your head, resting them on the floor. Point your index fingers. Breathe easily and relax with your eyes closed, as you focus on the sensations in your body.

Stay aware and focused as you practice sensing the flowing and changing energy. Notice as your head clears and you experience a feeling of lightness your body. If any mild discomfort or pain arises, take deep breaths into the area to help move the pain and know that your body is healing.

After just a few minutes, open your eyes, shake out your arms and legs and pause a moment to reflect on any changes or benefits you notice. With the clarity and healing that this posture opens, you can change not only your own way of being as you go about your day, but you can contribute your positive energy and powerful thoughts toward a better world for all!
