Introduction

 

Based on East Asian energy principles, Body & Brain Yoga helps you feel and move the qi energy in your body. It's only when we have enough energy flowing freely inside that we can be completely healthy in every way.

Join various expert Body & Brain Yoga instructors in a typical class flow so you can become stronger and more centered while being relaxed yet energized. Make Body & Brain Yoga a normal part of your self-care routine.

This style of yoga, which was modernized from traditional Korean energy practices by Change Your Energy founder Ilchi Lee, is safe and gentle enough for beginners but gives experienced practitioners a thorough workout.

A different one-hour Body & Brain Flow Yoga class will be streamed every Tuesday at 9:00 am PT/12:00 am ET and 3:00 pm PT/6:00 pm ET.

Class Outline

 

A typical Body & Brain Yoga LIVE follows this format:

  1. Stretching

    Opens up the meridians (energy channels) to circulate energy in the body. Improves blood and lymph circulation so that muscles and organs receive oxygen for rejuvenation and healing. Keeps joints and muscles limber to maintain a youthful lifestyle.

  2. Brain Wave Vibration

    Uses gentle shaking of the head and body to release tension in the body, especially in the head, neck, shoulders, and spine. This simple vibration lowers stressed brainwaves to a calm and deeply meditative state.

  3. Breathing Postures

    Energy is released and accumulated through the breath. Learn how to gather energy in the core and promote flow from the head to the toe.

  4. Energy Meditation

    Learn how to sense the energy in your body and, in the process, become one with the flow of life. Energy sensation technique silences mental chatter to focus your mind on energy itself. Experience deep relaxation while maintaining enhanced focus and mindfulness.

  5. Cool Down Exercises

    Light stretching to transition your body and mind from a meditative state to be ready for the rest of your day.

East meets West both in her mind and body practice as well as her ethnic background and upbringing. Michelle grew up on various Air Force bases and also worked both in the US and abroad in the Psych/Social Services Field.
