Dance With Your Fingers Toes for Better Circulation

Proper blood circulation is vital for good health. The blood flowing through your body is your life source and when your life source is not flowing at an optimal level, your health can be greatly affected.

When your fingers, toes, and abdomen have good energy and healthy blood circulation, everything in between has good circulation too.

In reflexology, the feet and hands are connected to other parts of the body, so stimulating them has a ripple effect of natural health.

Ilchi Lee, founder of CYE and visionary of self-healing, developed this exercise to increase the flow of oxygenated blood to the entire body in order to give you what you need to thrive!

This exercise is perfect to do at work if you’ve been sitting for a long period, while watching TV or just when you feel like you could use a little boost in vital energy flow. It is also a perfect way to increase total-body awareness and strengthen the connection between your mind and physical body.



The Finger & Toe Dance

  1. In a standing position with knees slightly bent, your socks off and soles of your feet firmly rooted to the floor, take 3 deep breaths, filling your abdomen with oxygen and then exhaling as much air as possible. Set the intention to revitalize your blood and envision your blood cells dancing happily through your veins.

  2. Starting with the feet, spread your toes apart as much as possible and then squeeze them together as tight as possible. Repeat this, gripping the earth below you with great strength each time you squeeze inwards. (if you feel imbalanced, stand behind a sturdy chair and place your hands on the back of the chair for support)

  3. Feel the ki energy flowing from your toes to your heels, all the way up your legs and into your abdomen. Envision health and vitality coming from the earth through you.

  4. Holding the grip in your toes, bring your palms to your chest, facing each other and spread your fingers as wide as possible before squeezing them into tights fists in front of your heart.

  5. Maintain a deep a steady breath, filling your abdomen and pushing every last breath out. This deep breathing not only grounds and centers you, but it also brings lots of oxygen into your blood, which then goes to your entire body.

This exercise can be done for as long as you want but at least 100 times (about 5 minutes) is recommended twice a day. If you have cold hands and/or feet, this simple exercises is a perfect way to increase blood flow and warm up your extremities.

Between the feet, abdomen and hands, you’ve just recirculated and reoxygenated your blood. By raising your core body temperature by 1 degree celsius, you boost your immunity by 5 times!

This is one dance that you don’t have to be ashamed of doing in front of people, and being a wallflower is completely ok too. Movement is the key to life and when you begin to practice this exercise regularly, you will begin to notice the subtle changes in your physical body.
