5 Ways to Bloom with the Spring Equinox
With masculine and feminine energies balanced and the grip of winter releasing, the spring equinox is a wonderful time to clear out stagnant energy in your body and prepare for the more energetic and fruitful months of summer.

When we move the energy in our bodies with the rhythm of the seasons, we align our natural rhythm with that of earth and can fine more harmony in our health, relationships, and work. Mindful attention to how you feel in each season and listening to what nature is guiding you to do can really help you create and maintain a beautiful flow of your own as you go through life.

We have a tendency to collect (material things and energy) in the winter months to stay warm and cozy, but with the coming of spring, we are called to make some space so the light can re-enter our lives and re-energize our bodies.

A ritual you can do at this time to celebrate the change of seasons and align yourself with nature’s rhythm is an act of general clearing and recharging.

Spring Equinox Rituals

  1. Create Space: “Spring cleaning” is a natural urge to purge and create space and clean every nook and cranny in your home, but your body also needs the same attention. With your home, get rid of clutter, giveaway things you no longer use, make space for new. Within your body, be mindful of habits and patterns you developed in the winter and make a conscious effort to move more and breathe in deeply the crisp and fresh smell of spring air.
  2. Charge Up: Building heat and energy in spring is one way that you can generate a higher vibration within your body in order to reinvigorate your nervous system, immune system, circulatory system and digestive system.   3. Get Moving: Go walking in the morning and after dinner before bed. The energy of spring is of life, birth, creation and blossoming. When you channel that energy into your own life, you can work the rhythm of nature and infuse your intentions with the blossoming of spring.
  5. Watch it Bloom: There is so much beauty in spring. Nature is in bloom, colors are vibrant, birds are happy and active and chatty. Take time to appreciate and really look at the natural beauty that surrounds you. Stop to smell the flowers, meditate in the morning sun, go to the park more often—get outside and absorb the gift of life!

Mother Nature is here to heal us, support us and help us thrive. Listen to her cues and allow yourself to flow with her throughout the year. Take action and breathe some light into your life!
