3 Easy Ways to Practice Daily Self Love Mind Body Soul

There’s nothing better than feeling truly loved, appreciated, admired and respected. These feelings help us go through life with our heads held high. But there’s a big secret that you may (or may not) know—we are the only ones who can make ourselves feel this way! That’s because true love comes from within.

Yes, of course we can appreciate, and rise from, the love of another, but when we lack love for ourselves, we are less able to accept love and we inhibit our capability to radically give love to ourselves!

As time seems to move ever faster and the task list seems to grow ever longer, self-care and love may easily be pushed to the bottom of the list. But it is so important to love ourselves first, before we give any attention to others.

While there are a million ways to treat yourself with love, we’ll be focusing on daily practices that you can do to love up on your mind, body and soul in just a few minutes!

Love Your Mind w/ Energy Sensing

The mind is a powerful tool and when we empower it and give it what it needs to thrive, we find that it is easier and easier to reach our full potential. However, the mind is the embodiment of the ego and when we don’t express enough unconditional love and acceptance to ourselves, the ego can easily take the lead. This can create some serious self-doubt, limiting beliefs and general lack of self-love. To keep your mind strong and full of love, practice sensing your own energy and feeling the true power coursing through your body with this simple exercise from Ilchi Lee’s enlightening book, The Power Brain.

  1. Sit comfortably on the floor or a chair in half lotus, or other comfortable position, and straighten your back.
  2. Place your hands on your knees, palms facing up, and close your eyes. Relax your body, especially your neck and shoulders. Relax your mind. Inhale deeply, and let go of any remaining tension while you exhale.
  3. Raise your hands slowly to chest level, palms facing each other. Concentrate on any sensation you may feel between your palms. At first, you may feel warmth in your hands, but soon, you may feel your own pulse.
  4. Breathing deeply and concentrating on your palms with your eyes closed, begin to move your hands towards each other and then apart. You may feel a tingle, warmth or pulsing at the center of your palms. If you don’t feel anything, just keep breathing and release any thoughts from your mind. Sensation is increased with relaxation.

Doing this for 5-minutes each morning will help you start the day connected to your infinite energy source with a calm and confident mind.

Love Your Body with Belly Button Healing
This revolutionary self healing method is unlike anything you’ve ever tried. While it may be cheating to include it in “body love” (because it is so much more than that) this 5-minutes exercise will deeply connect your mind to your body so you can better manage stress, relieve physical and emotional pain, ride the wave of your emotions, improve digestion and gut health, help you sleep better and have more energy during the day, and the list goes on.

  1. Using a Belly Button Healing wand, or your fingers if you don’t have one (just be sure to be aware of any tension you may be creating in your shoulders, neck, arms and hands), stand with your feet hip distance and your knees slightly bent.
  2. Place the tip of the Belly Button Healing wand or your fingers into your navel and gently begin to pump in and out as you bounce slightly and exhale deeply as you press inwards.
  3. Do this for 5-minutes and when you’ve finished, continue breathing deeply and envision your ki energy flowing strongly and freely through your entire body, illuminating each cell and dissolving any physical or emotional blockages.

Belly Button Healing is not necessarily a highly physical exercise, but it generates a massive amount of heat in the lower abdomen, your power center, and it works to give you body a sort of internal workout. Love Your Soul with Coloring
It is commonly said that what is good for the heart is good for the soul. As adult coloring books are taking the world by storm, it is not only because coloring is fun and reminds of our carefree times as a child. This pastime is actually incredibly good for freeing the soul and healing the heart as we disconnect from the stress of daily life and focus on creating something beautiful.

  1. Choose a coloring book that speaks to your soul, like the Healing Hearts Coloring Book by Grandmaster Manwol, and allow yourself to get lost in the potential of limitless creation.
  2. At the end of the day or before you get into bed, give yourself 15 minutes to an hour (if you have the time) to simply choose the color and drawing that calls to you and fill in the blank canvas as you wish.
  3. This act of coloring helps our minds take a break and allows our hearts and souls to be nurtured and freed from the confines of our schedule, tasks, obligations and thinking about the future.

There’s a reason coloring books are finding their way into homes around the world. Adults need them maybe more than children! Express your creativity and let your soul run free with whatever comes out!

The more you take deliberate action to express love to yourself, openly and freely, the easier it becomes to live from that place of love, rather than a place of lack. If you continuously and mindfully fill your own cup with love, you will find that you seek it less and less from others and you may even realize that certain people or situations simply are not healthy for you anymore.

Loving yourself is powerful. You are powerful. You have everything you need right now, because it always has been, and always will be, within you.
